Thanks for visiting us at the Opening Doors website! We are a prison ministry. That means we work with men and women who are incarcerated and are returning to their communities. We work with families who have been torn apart by the separation of prison. We are a faith based agency, which means that we are people of faith. The United States now incarcerates more people than any country in the world.

85% of the people in jail have been there before.

66% of those in prison will likely go back.

In Ohio 1 in 25 adults is in prison, jail, probation or parole or somehow "in the system".

This tragedy has an impact on everybody, the victims of crime, the offender, and the children who grow up at greater risk, families, and communities.
