Mentoring

Every prescreened ex-offender who receives mentoring from Stand In The Gap,™ Ohio becomes a neighbor in a Spiritual Family that meets twice a month for a minimum of one year. Families are formed with 6 – 8 volunteers from one or more participating churches. Every family has two lay leaders and is supported by an assigned licensed Christian Counselor.

• Contact Collyn Wooden, Stand In The Gap™ program coordinator (or another Opening Doors representative) to indicate your interest
• Complete prescreening process
• The program coordinator will assign you to a Spiritual Family
• Spiritual Families are trained together with their SITG™ neighbor
