Mentoring
Every prescreened ex-offender who receives mentoring from Stand In The Gap, Ohio becomes a neighbor in a Spiritual Family that meets twice a month for a minimum of one year. Families are formed with 6 – 8 volunteers from one or more participating churches. Every family has two lay leaders and is supported by an assigned licensed Christian Counselor.
- Contact Collyn Wooden, Stand In The Gap program coordinator (or another Opening Doors representative) to indicate your interest
- Complete prescreening process
- The program coordinator will assign you to a Spiritual Family
- Spiritual Families are trained together with their SITG neighbor
