Participation

Every Opening Doors® program has space for 1 or more volunteer participants. Volunteers may choose to participate often. All program facilitators must participate in a program before being trained to facilitate. Programs are held in adult and juvenile prisons and are scheduled for 3 consecutive weekdays, generally from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 or 4:00 p.m.

• Inform an Opening Doors representative of your interest
• Complete Dept. of Rehab and Corrections volunteer paperwork and attend security training
• Select program location and dates
• Participate in an Opening Doors® program one or more times
